TFRP rudder pedals
I just bought this pedals to use with my American Truck Simulator. As a rudder pedals, it is meant to move back and forth to fly a plane. I don’t fly planes. Does anyone know of a way to lock the pedals in a stable position and the pedals in a car/truck would ? Nothing in the manual that I can find. Thanks

I don't know about the brand you have, but I use rudder pedals as well. I have all the CH Pro stuff and the pedals originally came with a little accessory piece that locked them from the forward travel. I have long since lost it somewhere and I just try to not push forward on the pedals now. Once you get used to it, it works ok. lol.

If they are the Saitek ones there is a dial in between them for tension; you can tighten that right down and they won't sway..I did that when I just wanted toe brakes for a while when using the stick rotation axis for rudder control.

For those who don't know, TFRP = Thrustmaster Flight Rudder Pedals.

To OP, if you don't fly planes then you should have bought driving pedals rather than flight pedals. Yes, I know they have a 'driving mode' option depending on how you plug them in but they're not designed for it. You'll need to modify them in some way to lock the pedal position on the rails, there is no standard feature that will do this for you.

My advice would be to return them if you can and buy proper driving pedals instead.

Trucker_71, maybe i will get used to the unwanted forward motion, but i doubt it. I've only had them for a day or so but i already thinking about drilling small hole for a screw somewhere. Maybe not. It is more troublesome when under difficult intersection and at night.
Robinicus, it is the Trustmaster rudder. It does have the dial between the two pedals but no means to adjust anything.
thanks and happy trucking.

I don’t know of any manufacturer making pedals just for driving. The Thrustmaster T150 comes with a set of driving pedals. I have those but the awkward angle when sitting on a computer chair and driving for a while cramps my leg. I will make the rudders work, no problem.

Thrustmaster and Fanatec both make pedals specifically for driving.
