Just to add: If your shifter is a Logitech driving force shifter then you need to press the gear shifter down to find reverse otherwise it does not work.
I haven't used mine for a very long time now but what would using a 13 or 18 speed matter. To access the reverse you push the shifter down and then slide it to the far right and back. It is a slot by itself. Both the 13 and 18 gears can be assigned to the six other slots.
Nope, not if you're running the default control configuration. The reverse slot is unused (I set my reverse slot to hitch/unhitch the trailer).

In all the Eaton Fuller (10, 13 & 18 speed) layouts, using default control configuration, reverse gear is left and up (1st gear slot).
Thank you for the explanation. I can't remember how I set mine and like I said, it is a very long time ago since I used it. I have been using the TH8A shifter.
Joy button 12 = left and up witch is reverse with these settings
Joy button 8+9 are range and splitter (cant remeber what one is what) set those to what is comfortable for you, 8 and 9 are L2 and L3 on the wheel
