If you are looking for Seattle this could be why you aren't finding anything.
Ah that explains it
I am using destination filter looking for darwing to everett. I see a couple fairly consistently but they are always too far away for me to reach before they expire. So I picked a town that I had seen come up a couple of times and started running loads in and out of that town waiting for a Darwing delivery to show up (run a load, check jobs for Darwing if none run load and repeat). I have been doing that for four real world days, probably 4 or five jobs a real world day.
Am I on the right track? Do I just nug through until a load in range comes up? (Now I understand why accomplishment rate is around 2%). I know fast travel exists in the game but I seem to remember it burns game time, i.e. if a job expires in 3 hours and the drive to get to the job is 4 hours, fast travel will burn 4 hours off the clock and job will have expired...I think.
Update: Huzzah! and there was great rejoicing in the land. Turns out my stake out plan finally paid off. On what was probably my next to last regular freight job, Darwing posting showed up for W town. I had to judiciously apply risk management as it applies to speed limits, but I got to the pick up under the wire. And wouldn't you know on an Urgent job, I hit my first detour in days. Got the job done despite the snarl.
Meanwhile, Quick Job has been added to my tool kit for bounty hunting jobs. I dont use it since its not your truck (what would be the point) but I can see where it can cut the Gordian knot.
