Editing Rims/tires
As some of you know that when you multiple wheel/tire packs. Some combination of rim and tires either don't fit flush or have spaces between them. I was wondering is there any way to shift specific tires sizes to fit rims better. Example; I have 295/75 that are just a tab bit not flush with the lip of the rim as well as a set of 445/50 that are passed the outer edge of the rim. Can I code specific lines for each individual tire size to fit the rims and not the one line of code fits all?

Nope, you only have the tyre relative location parameter in each rim/disc unit definition. Only thing you can do really is make copy of a given rim/disc for the specific tyre(s) that's misaligned - not ideal but anyway (besides fixing the tyre's 3D model, that is).

The current system for tyres/rims isn't brilliant TBH. I really hope they change it to allow for the use of suitable_for/overrides between rim and tyre.

It's accurate in my opinion. You simply cannot fit a tire on a rim that it is not sized for in real life and it works the same way in the game. There may be a couple odd combinations where it's the wheel offset more than the width, but all I have seen was due to the width of the tires and rims.

The problem is that tire combinations that should and would fit in real life don't for some rims. Rims usually have range of 2 or 3 inches for flexibility of tire sizes and widths. Depending on who makes the model/pack they all end up fitting differently. I shall make a request in the wish list

The problem is with the mod, not so much the game, the mod tyres had been modelled offset to begin with - likely to accommodate mod rims that had themselves been modelled offset for one reason or another (either by design or by error).

There is no longer any reason to offset the tyre model anymore, since we now have the new attachment system and the offset parameter in the rim/disc unit definition, so this *should* only be happening with older tyre or rim models which had been built with an offset. Those really ought to be being re-aligned in a modeller before re-releasing for the latest game version. Newer tyre models should just simply be being built with no offset.

Although, it would be nice if the tyre unit had a reference offset as well, I guess, to accommodate older tyre models but... I doubt it will get much traction with SCS as it strictly is a mod issue rather than a game issue.
