For the time being there is no one making an american style 18 speed Eaton Fuller type knob.
The only 18 speed shifters you will find are from overseas or one called SimuRide here in the states. Simuride is on Amazon for ease of ordering and receiving said product. These are European style shift knobs.
As for a steering wheel...if you want rattles, noisy turning, feeling the notches in the steering wheel...then by all means go with Logitech.
If you want a smooth, belt driven steering mechanism then you will want to go with Thrustmaster. The T150/TMX are great starter wheels. They MSRP at around $200, with the Pro versions of each adding about $50.
Force feedback is definitely better on Thrustmaster without needing any additional software such as a FFB plugin for Logitech that you can find on the SCS forums.

If the guy running TechAffliction did not go silent on everyone, ignoring his customers...I would have recommended you there. But since that happened there is no way I can endorse his product. I have one of their shifters..it is awesome. Made from a real World American knob.
The reason for the silence is the guy dumped his bike in February. A very good reason to take time to heal, but then not replying to customers is a very poor choice seeing what happened with another company which shall remain nameless.
Here is my setup for gaming, including pictures of the shift knob. https://www.flickr.com/photos/140912337@N03/
ETA: One thing to add is that neither of the Thrustmaster wheels I mentioned, nor the G29/G920 comes with a shifter. You will need the Th8A for Thrustmaster which is an all metal construction, hall effect sensors, etc etc. Can be used as a standalone usb device without adapters. Cost is MSRP at $150.
The Logitech Driving Force is all plastic. It works for some people but can only connect to the G29/G920. There is an adapter for this to used as standalone. Adapter is $30. Needs ordered from Ricmotech. Cost of base shifter is MSRP $60.
