ATS concept map of full USA (unofficial)
Hi everyone! I made a concept map of full USA which I think should be close to what we will finally see.
Here is the map https://i.imgur.com/5RUkEh2.jpg

Montana will be released earlier than you expect compared to some of those Southeast states; Florida is a matter of long term development.

I disagree. Pavel (CEO of SCS) said that they want to reach Florida as soon as possible. And early release of Montana doesn't make sence because it is too big and low populated state so there will be much lower sales than for Florida (or almost every Eastern state).

If that had been the case to hurry for Florida as soon as they can; we would not have had Oregon, Washington, Utah, (possibly Idaho) before Texas. They surely want there but Montana has been famous for its terrain qualities and landscapes; one of the reasons FarCry5 went there. For a trucking game, Montana fits right in there. For a GTA themed game, Florida fits better; Vice City.

They did Washington because of their contract with Kenworth. So Oregon was made (mostly) to reach Washington. Utah is necessary now because current shape (L-shape) of the map is ridiculous, no one wants to make a huge detour from Washington to New Mexico. Anyway we'll see what will happen in the next few years.

WoW !!! Great work !!! Can u make this for Europe one day?

ok, one place that would be good in Kansas is Mcpherson. its a good sized city, but what really makes it good for the game is the huge oil refinery in the cirty off to the side of a highway going to huchitson.

I'm not interested in European map, you can see almost full Europe with ProMods.

It's too close to Hutchinson, it could be a scenery town with delivery point(s).

That time lapse of state releases is probably the only thing I disagree with I know by 2022 at least half of the U.S should be done. With them getting closer to finishing Europe.

For the life of me it feels like they've done more this current year than I remember, but now I realize Oregon was last year. I'd rather they start doing two states at a time as they get away from the Western states.
It was one map team (=1 state per year), after Oregon there is 2 teams (2 states per year). In 2020 there should be 3 teams.

Bellingham-Key West would be awesome too.

I hope Texas might be the next state after Utah is completed
ads678 Aug 10, 2019 @ 7:10am
Most likely Idaho is next, then Texas.

Hate to burst the bubble, but that's porbably not going to happen would think SCS wants to get down with Mountain West areas Idaho, Wyoming, and Montanta before Texas heck might have to throw in Colorado as well.

Texas might be 2021 at the earliest I'll be surprised if it happens next.

Texas was in their original plan and I don't see them straying too far from that even though Utah will be released before Texas which was not their original plan. Idaho might come first because of the size of Texas and how long it will take to make the Texas map but I doubt very much if SCS has changed their mind about adding Texas to allow an eastern movement which was their original plan. Going north and going east was their original plan and now they have 2 map teams I am sure that is still their focus and Texas was the going east part of that.

SCS listened to a minority of noisy protests about squaring up the map but that does not mean Texas is not a priority for them. We will see what happens next year.

VoltiacSynapse, this is just what you want. I don't want Texas before Colorado either but SCS plans are different. I also wanted Utah after Arizona but they released New Mexico, Oregon and Washington making the map shape unplayable for me and many other players because of corridor driving. Finally they decided to release Utah.

There was a pre-production map in 1.32 beta (before Oregon release) with road network and marked cities of 3 states: Oregon, Washington and Utah. And there was 4th state (Texas) with some main roads but no marked cities. That says that they already started the development of Texas.
