Console teleport not working?

I can't use the console to teleport anymore?

I get an error message saying "debug camera not present" when I try to. How to fix?

Teleport in what way? There are two, though related, for teleporting and both do involve the debug camera.

Just to double check, are you sure both of these values are "1"?

uset g_developer "1"
uset g_console "1"

Yes, both are set to 1.

Until today, opening the console and typing "goto (city name)" would send me in a free camera to the city specified. I could move the camera around with the mouse and numpad, find a spot I like, and teleport there by pressing F9.

I tried it today, and got the error message I mentioned before (debug camera not present). Nothing happened other than that message.

edit: I used the teleport last just after WA came out. I haven't added or removed any mods, or edited the .cfg since I used it last, so I'm at a loss here.

If you were in the midst of a WoTr contract, that would have rendered the F9 teleport function un-usable.

What you are talking about is the 0 camera. Press 0 , move around, F9 to teleport. Thats all it is.

Nothing happens when I press 0. The error message is in the console itself. when I type "goto (ity name)", the console replies with "debug camera not present".

The only thing I can think of is that you have assigned a key for a different command to the 0 button on the top row. Check if that is the case and unassign that command, hopefully that works.

same problem here, and it's now 2021!
It always worked year after year, now updated to ETS2 V1.40.beta it won't.
Maybe beta problem? someone has the same problem, and what's the solution please?

Try setting Developer and Console back to "0" in the config.cfg and then restart Steam and start the game. Then close the game and set them back to "1" again and see what happens.

So glad I searched here for the answer to this problem, it's been bugging me for ages. Why did they change it from F9 to Ctrl + F9?

Because Convoy text chat was added to the Route Adviser using F9.
