Loving the relaxing game so far though [again, sorry if I actually missed this somewhere, I could be wrong with it 'not being stated somewhere in the game']
If your quick job is long enough, you may have to rest before you complete it. Your employer should factor rest time into your trip if that's the case.
To rest, you need to find a rest stop or motel and park in the resting area. Often, that's easy to spot, but sometimes it's tricky. You get a message when you can rest. Park, stop the engine, and press the control the game tells you to use to rest. You visit the Sandman for a while and then come back to life to drive again.
