Stuck Acceleration
My truck accelerates without hitting the pedal, it's set to inverted but noticed the "yellow bar" is at max. I tried resetting my pedals in it's software and reset the game controls and the yellow bar is still maxed.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Try another setting other than inverted. Not all wheels use inverted setting for the pedals.

I tried that too.

Let me add. When I push the pedal down the RPM's drop and it slows down. And, paddle shifters no longer give me forward or reverse.

Try going into Documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles\profile folder id.

Delete the controls.sii file that inside the folder. This will wipe out any settings that you currently have for said profile.

Launch the game and try setting up things again. Don't use the wizard though.

Make sure you download and install the latest drivers and Firmware for your wheel. If you already have it then reinstall it. Also, make sure you have your wheel plugged directly into your computer using a USB2 port if they are available on your computer and not a USB3 port unless that is all your computer has and not a USB-Hub. Confirm your wheel is working correcly in the Control Panel for your wheel before starting the game. If you have the option of combined and separate pedals make sure it is set for separate.

If after doing all that you still have problems please give the make and model number of your wheel so players know what wheel you are using.

Isn't that what inverted means though? When you push down on the pedal it does the opposite to what it should normally do.
Try setting it non-inverted and see if that fixes it.

Thanks Mazing, I already tried that with no luck and Willy, it's all updated. It almost acts like it's in the game and before anyone asks, I'm running no mods at all.

I'm using a G29 wheel and pedals with a FS17 side panel, in which after deleting the global control file onlt the side panel showed up when starting the game like it did from the start.

Tim, it was working as an accelerator before.

How is your wheel working in other driving games?

The wheel is working just fine and so are the buttons I programmed. I'm going to try a reinstall and see what happens.

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game to get the pedals working again. Best guess is it was in the game or all our power going on and off with all the storms as of late.

For anyone still having issues with this, all you have to do is go to your controls and find where it says throttle, there should be a secondary assignment, if that assignment is from the wheel unassign the button and it should work. This worked for me. This solution came from a redditor named steamplayer181.
