It is best imho to use the shifter as a standalone USB device than having it connected to your wheel.
I'll try a reboot and see what happens...
Just a note on this - the shifter only works in sequential mode when connected via a wheel base, to use it in H-shifter mode, it must be connected via standalone USB.
So if OP is connecting the TH8 to their wheel base then ATS won't see it as an H-Shifter.
OP - use the USB connection, check drivers and make sure Windows sees the shifter in device manager.
EDIT: This may or may not be relevant, but in Windows, it is seen as a TH8A Shifter, but in ATS it is seen as a TRS 500 Shifter.
As long as ATS sees it and you have it selected as a controller from the drop down menus on the controls page then once you configure the positions, you're good to go.
And you've set the shifter positions and shifting pattern at the bottom of the controls menu?
And you have the clutch set in keybinds?
6/7 speed you are able to assign the gates to what you want.
On the 10/13/18 speed you can't change the gates.
I was running an automatic trans before I installed the shifter, Eaton-Fuller 13 speed I think it was...
Have you bound a key/button for range (and splitter)? These are listed as 'Toggle 1' (Range) and 'Toggle 2' (Splitter) in the settings.
Without these set, the shifter won't function correctly as you'll have no way of setting the range when actually trying to drive.
