Voice Navigation is wrong and annoying

The new voice navigation is somewhat of a disaster, I hate to say it.

Compared to the voice of the navigation system in a 2019 BMW 320d I drove in Italy last month, with its language set to English, the following is wrong with the voice navigation in ATS (and probably ETS2 too).

-> Stay right/left. Wrong verb. Navigation systems use the verb "to keep". So keep right, left, etc.
-> Go straight. Really? When driving on the interstate, the system says "go straight" at every intersection that I can ignore because I just need to go straight on? That's not realistic. Only where a so-called fork might cause confusion, a GPS will tell you where to go, but then again, will say: keep left at the fork, keep right, etc.
-> Get ready to turn right/left/etc. Does not exist. Navigation systems don't tell you to "get ready".
-> "It's all over now." When arriving at destination. Ridiculous. I don't need ATS to be or become a funny game. Leave the humor to the GTA franchise, SCS. Just focus on truck simulators.

You do realize that this is only the first release of it?

It will be developed more over time. SCS has received lots of great feedback since it was implemented into the open beta only a few days ago.

The best part....you don't need to use it! Shut it off in the sounds options if you don't like it!

it's new to ats/ets2. expect changes. best thing to do is go make suggestions on the main forum

just turn it off in the settings, thats what I love about the ATS and ETS2 its so customizable on options to fit any player

Yea no kidding, like on the Rage 2 forum for example many were complaining of the map being shallow and empty, when its not any different to any other open world game, just have to explore to find locations.

I'm waiting for you implementation of it. Mod it, publish it and wait for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and complaining about it.

I agree with the OP's comments, some of the voice GPS is a bit corny. But I like the idea. ;)

I guess ppl are just getting tired of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the GPS.its barely been released and ppl are bashing it left right and centre ...dont like it ...turn it off untill they improve it or use a mod

To be fair, its really not that hard to go out and purchase an American GPS and figure out what it says, and it how it works. Having the voice be THIS bad is sort of inexcusable.

Yeah, their decision to make GPS playful has been criticized a lot. People are not used to this because most GPS in real world have different voices, professional and serious most of the time. But this is just the beginning, still work in progress
