Mouse-look no longer working...
I'm curious if anyone has some advice for this issue. I cannot look around any longer. Mouse and keyboard, neither work.

Looking for the answer, I've found that apparently this problem is caused by head tracking software, which I have installed (OpenTrack) since the last time I played ATS. However, I found the whole head-tracking experience to be a complete waste of effort and time, so I dumped it. Now, I've uninstalled OpenTrack, but this damn game still isn't working. I see stuff about something called FaceTrackNoIR, which I've never heard of and never installed.

Any ideas?

Is it still listed under controls menu, were you can select your inputs eg keyboard + mouse.

Go to your ATS folder in Documents and open config.cfg and scroll down and see if OpenTrack is listed and it has "1" next to it, change that to "0". Also, if Tobii is listed and has "1" next to it change that to "0"

I use TrackIr 5 (which I highly recommend by the way) and the settings in my config.cfg are.

uset g_tobii "1"
uset g_trackir "1"

So even though I use TrackIr Tobii eye tracking is also activated.

I went into the CFG file and found a line that read "g_trackir 1" and changed it to 0, which fixed it. Found the tobii line and changed it to 0 first and it didn't fix it.

Thank you very much for the help. This is one of my favorite simulators, and wasn't looking forward to shelving it for good.

Thank you! Like the OP, I spent the better part of a day trying to configure a head tracker only to finally decide that it's garbage, only to find that it breaks mouse look even after removing the head tracker.

Why SCS can't turn off those flags when the head tracker ain't running, or put it in the config, but instead leave the game in a broken state is beyond me. I have WAY too much customized just to blow my settings back to default.

also theres a button in the options in game to switch tracking on and off. i used that when i went back to mouse look

thank you so much for this! I spent the better part of 1.5 days trying to fix this. Even completely uninstalling and reinstalling ATS. I even googled, but apparently I didn't google the right phrases, but today I did. I guess bourbon and googling isn't good? Ha! Thanks again!
