That happened to me once. I upgraded everybody's trucks and with time they started making money. Some hired drivers take along time to start making money.

Did you buy trailers for them? If they have trailers they are limited to the type of loads that goes on those trailers. None of my drivers have trailers and they almost always get hauls. It also seems to me like location has something to do with it. I have some drivers in some cities that don't get alot of higher paying jobs, while other drivers in other cities do.

all of my drivers have reefer trailers except 2, which chose to use dry vans, all of my drivers make money. i found that when they do not have their own trailer they make almost no money, even my 2 oldest drivers were making 5k per load with trailers most are making between 30k and 90k

Not sure how any of this new driver stuff works.. I have a shop and it's been upgraded for 2 trucks. I use my truck to haul other trailers so mine just sits in the yard. I hired a driver and bought a daycab. Will the new guy hook onto it and use it..? It shows he's resting.. will he goto work by himself or is there anything I need to do..? Thanx in advance..

Theyll do it all themselves. Im not sure if its true or not but the better the truck the better they work. Ive always bought nice fully loaded trucks for the workers and they kill it.

Ok cool. Just like "she did ballet" said you can focus on different types of loads too. Long distance gets you a big pay out but it takes longer to get the doe. It all depends on what you want to do. I have 20 + drivers. I gave groups of them different focuses. Long distance, hazardous, heavy hauls, etc. Rollin in the Benjamins now 😁
As I get it the focus simply means upon level up they will choose that focus trait over the other available traits. I usually set them to long distance for a start, so they can actually go places further than a couple of hundred miles. Once they got 4-5 ticks in distance level I reset them back to balanced and let them do their own thing from there on.
