Both.

Agreed...both.

The West Coast Bundle for ATS is currently one heck of an amazing steal.

Agree, I have both, enough difference in Trucks, scenery, and roads to make them both interesting, challenging and fun if you enjoy driving games.

ATS may be sligtly better, but ETS with Promods is huuge. One quality map mod from Iceland to greece, Spain to Russia.

I started with ATS, because of the coolness factor, but now I have 3 times more hours in ETS becuse of Promods. Now I am back in Washinton. :)

I like American-style trucks with large, spacious sleepers as compared to European trucks. In addition, the map is more detailed than ETS2, with the exception of the more recent map DLCs for ETS2. On the other hand, ETS2 has a larger map and several alternate routes to get to your destination than ATS.

Unsurprisingly, they're essentially the same game. If you only want to start with one, are you more interested in driving around Europe or the American West Coast/Southwest? ETS2 has been around longer and has a bigger map (if you buy all the DLC's), though at this point ATS isn't far behind. I do feel that ATS is the more relaxing experience as the roads in Europe tend to be narrower and more windy and generally speaking getting from A to B is a bit more complicated.

For your first game, I highly recommend ETS over ATS as a new player. ATS is good, but if I had to choice between the two...I would choose ETS because of how huge the game is. I mean huge, along with the DLC and the mods that can basically take you all the way from paris to moscow.

All comes down to personal preference; if you prefer more open roads then ATS is for you, if you like to constantly speed up and slow down or get turned on stopping at toll booths repeatedly then ETS is for you.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will go with ATS for now.

I have both, but I prefer ATS. I am used to American roads and vehicles.
Nite69 Jun 12, 2019 @ 11:23pm
