Animation support
I absolutly love American Truck Sim, and the mecanics as well with it, but would it be a good idea to like have animations added to the game, like the ability to step off the truck and refuel your truck like in real life? or also the ability to like move to the back of your truck to sleep (in sleeper trucks), or maybe grabe a bite at the diner? just my ideas really, any thoughts?

Waste of time. The Devs have got enough to do as it is like doing all the states and adding new trucks.

Truck cables are more than welcome.

Getting out of the truck to get something to eat and going to the toilet aren't. :steamfacepalm:

Been requested a lot. The idea(s) are well known to the devs at this point. But much like trailer cables it'll be one of those low on the list ideas.

To put it in perspective; truck cables were asked for since day one ETS2 release. Several devs thought it was a bad idea/unnecessary. Things change. There's no telling what they might decide to add in feature.

NO. This is a simulator, and while those details could be very welcome, are completely unnecessary and they would need to be done right to actually be atractive. As again, companies dont waste time and do things that are completely unnecessary.

I cant remember when this was requested. Not in the official forums, thats for sure. Cables was a thing that SCS had planned to implement in the beginning, it wasnt a request from the users.

And cables has nothing to do with simple animations for sleep/refuel. They are two completely different things. Making animations inside the cabin will be really difficult because each truck is different and then you have modded trucks as well. Honestly i dont care about those animations, because they are pointless. The way this game is designed, it doesnt need em, and the game is already great without them. Stop thinking on other games that had implemented these kind of animations (like fernbus) and start thinking on truck simulator.

I dont think its going to happen, ever, but again dreams are free.

This game is mostly about driving. Getting out of the truck is not really the point of ATS.

Some mod trucks allow the camera to go to the sleeper.

It would never end. Once they added animation of a driver refueling, then players would want the driver to walk to a cafe. Next they would want hi,m to walk around the truck and kick the tires. Then they would want him to walk to the guy at the depot and get paperwork on an animated clip board. Then they would want hi, to be able to scout where the trailer to pick up is situated. Then they would want him to walk down the road with a can when his truck runs out of diesel.

It would be pandoras box. I released a dice board game once and what I found out is people are never 100% happy. And if u just tease em with 1/4th of what they what they just ask for more, more , more.

I drive and thats it. If I want those things, I would play a game that features them at the forefront. No game has everything.
