Question about GPS
Probably two questions really. I have the popup GPS that I like, but it sits sort of on top of the built in GPS of the truck. Is there a way to remove the built in truck GPS?

I am thinking that is not possible, so the second question is, is there some way to decrease the transparency of the pop up GPS so that I can no longer see the built in GPS underneath it? I can't seem to find it anywhere but maybe I have just missed it.

In settings / keys & buttons, there's a setting called "Dashboard Map Mode", assign a key to it and you can cycle through the in-dash GPS modes and turn it off altogether.

Remove built in truck gps....no, but you can turn it off by cycling through the modes by hitting the "i" key.

No way to decrease transparency of the route adviser interface.

You can't do it in the main game, but there are some mods out there does it. Just google GPS or Satnav mods for ATS and you will find them. You can also try to look in the workshop on Steam for ATS to see if there is anything you can use there does what you want.

If you want to turn off the inbuilt GPS in truck so it not show there is a bottom for that, that bottom you can locate in your Key settings in the game.

I know you are trying to offer a solution but those mods do not have anything to do with transparency. Those mods are for say a minimal route adviser interface. Meaning the bar across the top(showing speed, fuel, etc) and to change its location on the screen.

Thanks very much, that does exactly what I needed. I struggled a bit to find a key to assign but eventually used F12 as the function pre-assigned to it is not something I use anyway

In the beginning I found it very distracting to have both the GPS and route adviser on at the same time and I preferred the route adviser because it's larger for my old eyes. It took me a while to find the solution.

LOL,the same here. I have been through the buttons and settings and everything multiple times, probably even saw that Dashboard Map Mode, but it never clicked with me that is what I wanted....never would have found it on my own.

That link is for a well made mod that gives you 200 Route Advisors.
There are 3 sizes of map with 4 places to have the map.
4 different layouts and placement of text info.
With or without frames around the edges and dark or clear back grounds.

There is a explanation so you can understand the naming structure.
Only try one at a time, don't dump them all in your mod folder.

No, it isn't a "fix" for what you asked about, I prefer to say it's an upgrade to a more practical and easier unit.

I have started to modify one and just getting my head around how to design just one, has me in awe of what this guy and all modders do.
