ETA: You apparently can remove the wheel with a kit after I did some googling. Found a video on youtube that shows the steps.
I did look at the ebay link in the video for the adapter. It is $55 USD. Seller is located in Europe so it won't be to you in the quickest fashion.
I was just going off a quick eBay search for prices. The TX and the T300 are the cheapest wheels Thrustmaster do that have a removable steering wheel (the T300 works with Playstation, the TX works with Xbox and both work on PC), the 250 GTO wheel literally bolts straight on (along with all the other Thrustmaster add-on wheels) with no adaptor required, plus you get a much better wheel base than the T150 (proper full belt-drive force feedback for instance).
