ps4 Hori apex wheel setting help?

I just got the Hori apex wheel and it's cool so far but I cant figure out propper settings to make the best of the wheel. When I turn the wheel to about 50-55 degrees either way the in game steering jumps all the way in that direction, even though theres still 90 degrees on the wheel. Any idea of settings to change or ways to be able to actually use all of the steering range of the wheel?

Lower steering sensitivity in controls. Any large movements are going to result in a wicked fast turn as the Hori wheel is only a 90° wheel in either direction.

the steering sencitivity is almost all the way down already. The wheel has 270 degree steering range. So it should utilize the whole range not just a little part of it.

try changing the switch on the wheel to PS4-S if it is set at PS4-N.

I tried that already and it still snaps to max steering when I get to only about 50 degrees on the wheel

Clear any key bindings you have for left & right turn or else rename the file:

%USERPROFILE%\documents\American Truck Simulator\profiles\<profileID>\controls.sii

Whatever you want. The goal is to remove the 'controls.sii' file so that ATS will regenerate a fresh copy from the default templates.

Do you have more than one profile? If so make sure you're editing the correct one. Otherwise, try running through the controls setup wizard.

I figured out my problem. I has the wheel binded to steering in the keys and buttons menu as well as in the controls menu. all solved now. Thanks for the help!

Sure, but... removing the 'controls.sii' file should have solved that...? Anyway, glad it's sorted :).

Hi, Regarding the Hori Apex wheel... I'm posting a link to my DropBox... These are pics of my ATS settings for the Hori Wheel with both controls and key assignments. It's a great wheel with pedals, paddle shifters, and a decent vibration type force feedback that's priced fairly cheap. I have been using for a few years now with great results with both the ATS and ETS and other driving/racing sims. First, I used the setup wizard and tweaked it from there. Sometimes I had to clear the key assignment first as there are multiple assignments possible to each one. e.g, I have the high beam switch and interior camera both on button "B". You sometimes have to toggle through the different key assignments to get the right one. The switches on top of the wheel are in "PS4-S" and "DP" modes. I hope this helps. The Hori Apex wheel does everything I need for $99.
