I also have been to Redding a lot and it looks nothing like it does in this game. Both Redding and Eureka are spread out towns. In game they are very tight towns. That being said both towns look much better then some of the old towns in Euro Truck 2. Towns in Germany and the UK both look out of date now.
I agree with so many of you on your comments. Baddog993, I agree with you too on that. Eureka needs a little love, but I tried not to make the list too massive. My guess is that is they do Oregon and extend 101, they may alter it up a bit. At least they attempted to give it a downtown that looks "victorian" ha! But Redding is one of the biggest culprits of just not being right.
I also understand the few comments on Phoenix. I know it isn't perfect, but at least it sprawls out some like a real city. You got suburbs in the north, west, and down to the airport. The weakest area would be south of downtown. Those streets driving in look like "hickville" more then a downtown area of Phoenix.
Sacremento could use the same love, mainly the north end by downtown and add some homes and suburbs through the tree's along the highway. Make it looks bigger. Skyline is great.
I mean, we could go on forever here I am sure about this, and I am not stopping you! Any other towns or areas you think need work?
Someone mentioned above SCS might add Crescent City or some other Northern Cali towns as they expand into the beautiful Pacific Northwest regions of Oregon and Washington...
I may be "old news" here and not sure how long these signs have been there, but I used to remember them being fully blocked out. Just like on I-5, they now say north is Medford, Oregon.
I took a few photos of the Crescent City signs in Eureka. What makes this exciting is that they could be looking into filling in more Highway 101 up the Oregon coast and then hopefully someday around Washington's Olympic Peninsula! All beautiful, forested, coastal roads with plenty of big rig tricky and precision required!

So if they also add Crescent City, there is a chance they will touch up Eureka, Redding, Hornbrook (still not sure why that town in on the map, lol. Should be Yreka).
I also agree that Oakland needs to be redone and they need to include the Caldicott Tunnel on Rte 24.
Also while we're on the subject, the tunnel N of the Golden Gate is WAY too long!
Oakland's skyline should be seen, but there is a confusing cluster of mid-rises north of Oakland.... is that supposed to be Berkley?
Carlsbad for some reason has high rises. They did touch up San Diego in a recent update and made the skyline be a bit better then just generic shapes in the distance.
I see the great work they have done with New Mexico and see what they are doing with Oregon and Washington and am super excited. Albuquerque and Tucson at this point may be the best done cityscapes. But Portland is looking pretty good in the recent photos. Phoenix and Reno are well too.
Really excited. Love to hear your feedback on other places that need touch ups and improvements.
Yet they recently snuck in San Luis Obispo, which I know isn't Monterrey, but just another city that isn't Monterrey. They seem to like a strange mix of well known cities, but then sometimes skipping them for silly named cities.
For example, In the upcoming expansion of Northern California when Oregon comes out, they probably won't include Arcata, but they are including the hamlet of Fort ♥♥♥♥. (We know they choose that because of the name).
San Jose I think is the biggest real life city to not really be in the game, and I think this should be addressed with at least a city limit sign on US 101 and some kind of skyline you can drive past.
Outside of that I would suggest adding more neon to Reno. It's all right during the day, but at night it doesn't really feel like you're going through Reno. They have the sign outside the Nugget ("Nudged" in game), but it's like someone forgot to pay the power bill.
It's a game, not a world simulator, for that I suggest you skip on over to the flight sims and explore geographical add ons and upgrades. This would be a good suggestion for all the whiners who want the 50 states in ATS as well. They're all there already in flight sims, with some accuracy and more available depending on your time and budget. Fun times.
We're not hear to talk about anything you just said. It's a topic to simply know what you would like to see touched up. It's more of knowing your opinion and having fun, whether they do it or not. It's not like SCS will ever read this topic anyways. It's just a fun topic. Even you know of areas that need some better touch up then what's there. In a "perfect world" what would you like to see changed or improved upon?
