drive to a city you choose
Is it possible to make a delivery to cities by choice. Say I am in Las Vegas and I want to go to Los Angeles. From Los Angeles I want to go to Phoenix. Does the game allows that flexibility? I think it would be fun. Anyway, thanks

Yes that is possible, if there is any jobs there goes that way in the job market.

You can sort jobs by destination in the drop-down bar at the top of the Job Market. Not all cities will be available in general, but typically World of Trucks contracts have more options than Cargo Market or Freight Market.

I tried the suggested drop down. There is destination up arrow and destination down arrow. What do the arrows mean.

Isn't it alphabetical order?, anyways, it's easy to find out, if it's Alphabetical, Los Angeles should be in the middle either way up or down arrow :-)

Up shows Destination cities listed in alphabetical (A->Z) order, Down is listed in reverse alphabetical (Z->A) order.

There is a mod called "Virtual Speditor". It was made for ETS2, but works perfectly on ATS as well.

No you can not and wish they would do that also. More realistic. Because where I live truck drivers to to a destination and then maybe another one over a course of a week, but always have cargo to bring back to their home city.

Maybe one day they will make the game more flexible and you can travel at will to the cities/towns of your choosing. Also, states should become more readily available, but that’s a topic for another thread.

I do that all the time..I make a delivery in one city and then start my next delivery from that point. I keep track of how many times I travel to a city so my selection is based on how frequently I have been to that city.

You cannot go to any city and make a delivery now you can go to any city and make a pick up to deliver it to its assigned destination

As in real life you don't always get what you want.
If no one wants cargo delivered to where you want to go you either:
Wait for the job you want (I think you can rest 3 times in a row)
Take the best job available
Go where you want without cargo. (Drive where you want or Instant Travel to your choice of garages you own.

At the start I went the nomadic way and took the best $/mile jobs on offer. Didn't really care where I went so I didn't return to my original garage until about my 40th job.

If you enjoy it, you're playing it right.

This isn't difficult is it? Click on the city where you are, accept a job going to the city you want to go to, when you drop off that job go back to the job market, click on the city where you are and accept a job to the next city you want to go to. I do this all the time, ok the game won't let you set multiple destination points but it's easy to do manually. Between the freight market, cargo market, and external contracts it's usually pretty easy to find a delivery to the city you want to go to.
