You can't make DLCs. Only SCS can sell DLC. You can make mods. Don't take someone else work and call it yours. If you want a better map mod then start from scratch and make your own.
"Experience legendary American trucks and deliver various cargoes across sunny California, sandy Nevada, and the Grand Canyon State of Arizona."
It says nothing about the entire country.
But.. continuing, it says:
"American Truck Simulator takes you on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes and widely recognized landmarks around the States."
which isn't strictly true. Yet.
It could be argued that some of the description is a tad vague, but it does specify 3 states only.
In the case of ETS2, it's been 4 years now since release on Steam and Europe still isn't completed. I don't think SCS ever claimed to even attempt to cover every country in Europe. But you are driving a truck in Europe.
Same said for ATS. The map will grow with time.
wrong thread? And grats for not appreciating a tongueincheek comment. I thought 2027 was pretty obvious but I guess not. :/
Apologies. And no, 2027 may not be a bad guess :/
Something to ponder though:
ETS2 base.scs is 1.8Gb
ATS base.scs is 1.2Gb
Now, considering the extra detail and size of the rest of the USA to be mapped, is it fair to say the final size of base.scs will be 4 or maybe 5 Gb ?
Minimum specs to change before too long I suspect.
There won't be promods version of ATS unless more people step up because European map modders best off focusing on ETS2.
Promods requires map add ons to use existing DLC in ETS2 this will have to change with ATS because lots of users won't buy North Dakota DLC or Mississippi.
Also. working with 1:20 scale adding extra driving lanes, and mountain ranges, towns, truck stops, rest stops there only so much room for it.
I am building my own map in ATS with Colorado it stop and go project because trying to learn the editor and using street view to build it out.
Making my own models for Colorado and avoiding scs base assests unless it's roads prefabs and signage. With ATS at 1:20 scale probadly do scaled down version of downtown of how Phoenix is setup or Sacarmento.
I've have C2C v1.91 plus C2C beta patch.
They activate ok but the game just crashes.
Is there another component required?
The game runs fine otherwise without C2C.
I've also tried with a new profile with no other mods.
Here's the link for the latest C2C version + latest patch fix for it, works on the latest ATS version.

That done the trick.
