To use a DS4 with bluetooth you have to pair it first of course, and to do that:
"To pair the DS4 with your computer, first put the controller into pairing mode by press and HOLDING the Playstation button and Share button at the same time. Hold these buttons until the light bar starts rapidly flashing. Then go into your bluetooth menu and chose "Add Device".
After that, you'd use InputMapper to register it as a controller in Windows, or presumably it would show up in Steam Big Picture as a supported controller. Like I said, I've never used the native Steam Support for DS4, so maybe someone more experienced with that could chime in. But I use the DS4 as my PC game controller and it's awesome - especially with the trackpad. You never have to reach for the mouse.
Then after you get the controller, you go into the ATS control options and set up the buttons and triggers as you want them.
I was wondering that myself. After re-reading the thread I'm sure it means Dual Shock 4 controller.
I'll have to try this out. Thanks for the info ElectricZ.
There are two ways to use a PS4 controller on PC. First, you can use a standard micro USB cable to connect it to the PC. The other is to buy a bluetooth dongle (they can be bought for like $10 in most cases) and pair the controller with that. (there are guides online)
In order to configure the controller in Steam, Valve did it the stupid way. You must be in Big Picture mode to properly configure it. I've tried looking while in the normal windows, but I didn't see it, or its just not in an obvious place. You'll go into settings and in there about controller configuration. You can set it to your hearts content and the controller will be seen as a sort of Steam Controller using the PS4 graphics. ATS (and ETS2) should pick those up fairly easily after that.
I know this since I use a PS4 controller to play some games on the PC and I use bluetooth to connect it and play wireless. Comes in handy sometimes.
