There both manufactured by the same company Paccar.
I don't know if you use a mod for the w900 sound but the regular sound of it is extremely horrible...
I highly recommend using mods for all the truck sounds
I wouldn't complain if I had to choose ;)
It's all about your opinion here, but that's been said already
I prefer the Pete.
Well, I'm a Peterbilt guy and I'd always prefer the Pete
Things you should take into account:
- Which interior do you prefer? You spend most of your time in there
- Which truck feels better?
- Is it easy to get trailers to the drop off spots (esp. reversing)
- Personal preferences (Pete vs KW)
- Which truck would you like to see on your screenshots?
- If you're interested in real life trucking: Which truck would you buy irl?
- Anything else that's important...
Take them on some extensive testing runs and then decide which truck you like better
It's all about testing and gaining experience...
The W900 is available with a higher HP engine earlier in the game. You're limited at 375hp (I think) with the 389 until level 13 or so, I don't remember for sure though.
Just from my experience, the Peterbilt feels more refined, while the Kenworth is a no-frills, all business, working truck.
I drive the 389 almost exclusively. I don't own a W900 yet.
If you haven't, take some quick jobs to drive every truck, and get paid for it.
the KW 900's cab is higher than the 389s which allows you to see the traffic lights better but its more of a challenge to manuever the truck since you really are going to need to use your mirrors a lot more than looking out your window. Peterbilt 389 is much easier to manuever but with the sun visor its actually tougher to see the traffic lights for me because of my 6'4 height, which is why I run my Peterbilt 389 without the sun visor. I also go with the 389 because its my favorite truck and part of it is preference too, but I actually love both and I love driving any Truck in Quick jobs.
You don't think I'm silly do you?
The very best truck has me in the saddle! 😀😁😂😇
I was going to see if there was a sound pack for all the trucks but was waiting till 1.5 was released so there would be less chance of problems. I know some mods will not work with the new update but am not sure if that would affect mods that only change sounds.
