can i start over with my achievements my profile crashed with some mods i was using i have new mods that work now and i love this game thanks to all the moders out there

You should be able to...
No guarantees though, some have had no issues with this, others have completely lost their main profile and as far as I know, there's been no common reason for this either...

I believe the same launch parameter, "-resetstats", will work in ATS, as it works in ETS2 and they are the same game engine. Just remember to remove that parameter after you've used it or it will reset your achievements every time you play!

Go to your Steam Library and right-click on the ATS game title. On the window that opens, click the "Set Launch Options..." button. That opens a small window with a text box. Type in "-resetstats" (without the quotes) and then click "Okay". The next time you launch the game it will use that option to reset all of your Steam Achievements. Be sure to remove that before the next time you run the game or it will continue resetting them every time you launch.

i have tryed to do the resetstats it resets it in the ATS profile but in the stream screen i can see it has not changed

Dunno... That launch option info came from SCS as a way to reset the Steam achievements.

Steam Achievements cannot be reset I don't think. All you can do is reset your in-game stats attributed to a profile and earn achievements legitimately through that but it is unclear as to whether any in-progress from before just continue from where you left off even if 'reset'.

I must have mis-understood what that was for, then. Are they considering the levels and skills to be 'achievements' and it just resets those?

I'm not really sure if resetting in-game progress for achievements actually resets the progress Steam Client side i.e if you reset your stats with 2/3 Vineyards discovered for the 'Cheers' achievement in-game; whether that makes the achievement progress 0/3 on Steam's side or if it remains at 2/3 even if it's 0/3 in-game. Once achievements are earned; they cannot be reset or removed through legitimate means though. 3rd party achievement manager tools can manipulate achievements but they can also corrupt them and conflict with any in-game progress made so it's highly advised for users not to consider using those.

All the OP can really do is start afresh if he is unhappy with his current profile due to mods but any progress and achievements made or earned will just be resumed on new profile.

If anybody still needs this information 4 years after the last post, hope it's helpful. Since I started a new profile for sp I used the "-resetstats" with my new profile, went back to the home page of ATS & all achievements reset. Happy Trucking!
