ATS 'Gold Edition' October 30th w/New Mexico DLC Listing
I've seen a listing on CD Keys (unauthorised seller) which is advertising a 'Gold Edition' of the game complete with a picture and full details of the package which contains New Mexico, the Wheel Tuning Pack and Steering Creations DLC. This package which has its own box art looks legitimate and it also has a key availability date of October 30th or before. The site also has a seperate listing of New Mexico with the same release date.

We've already seen Instant Gaming list New Mexico a few weeks ago with the same information but this new Gold Edition raises my eyebrows further. These sites afterall do obtain their keys somehow from source and despite CD Keys status as a seller; they do provide legitimate keys and happily advertise pre-order/purchase products even if such products or dates haven't been announced officially through developers and authorised retailers.

Although the user is expected to receive their key on or before the 30th; this date window would have likely been communicated somehow and CD Keys clearly have a route for obtaining these direct from the developers. It's unlikely that the site simply created it's own 'Gold Edition' and slapped on a release date period plucked from thin air. It really makes you wonder if this legitimate information and why SCS are distributing their products through such channels.

When IG advertised New Mexico with such a distant release date; it sounded farcial but we're already in October and with the Gold listing now up and no clear-cut release date from SCS or any other retailer, it really makes you wonder if these are credible listings afterall.

The Gold Edition does exist:

This has probably been put together for the Christmas gift market. Dates can be best guess placeholders or playing it safe.

There are many different links for a Steam key/download to be found with a simple browser search.

Resellers tend to buy in bulk cheap, often retail copies, strip the codes out of boxes and then resell them as digital codes. If they are an unauthorised reseller they obviously aren't obtaining them from source. They also cost Steam money, which is why their URLs are censored. Though it's worth pointing out, so long as their codes are legally obtained it is perfectly legal for them to resell and us to buy, whether Valve likes it or not.

Also it's worth pointing out that the official UK publisher has listed the date as 10th November. While we can't say for certain that the date is correct, I would imagine it is much closer to being accurate than a random reseller.

I would be genuinely surprised to see the DLC drop this month.

I have to agree that around 10th November is probably the most realistic actual release date.

I have thought for a while it will be around Thanksgiving.

That's pretty much how CD Keys operate in regards to selling codes from physical copies digitially as it allows them to swerve the high digital tax both ways.

Plenty of these sites have been able to purchase from source previous though; even with stolen credit cards which has seen the developers lose out substantially when a chargeback was initiated against the wholesale level purchase. Whilst I do sympathise to affected developers; if they can't control the distribution of their keys in the first instance in regards to the wholesale of their products to licenced digitial distributors; it's their fault.

As long as SCS aren't doing business direct with sites like that; it's no problem.

I would wait until it is release before I spend my money on a fly by night website that may just take your money and disappear...May be scammers trying to get rich off of your money...

Yep, I'm only going to buy either on Steam or through a reputable retailer. These unauthorised sites if SCS isn't doing business with them have no guarantee of having the content before release or at all so anyone pre-purchasing through there could get burned and not have any consumer protection either.

I do not think it can be a "Gold" edition without a COE model truck inside even after including all DLC packs. Maybe Bronze Edition, but not Gold.

When this game is about to be abandoned in the future, SCS is better to make a -SCS edtion-
prototype Cab-over-engine truck if they fail to get a license for any COE model.

Yeah...what a ripoff to sell that stuff for 30€ when it would cost on steam in that constellation more than 30€.......would tell you the exact price, but as there is no one for New Mexico yet....

So probably this will be the last DLC for ATS if there is already a gold edition coming out

Don't think so. The "Gold Edition" of ETS2 that I bought (way back when) was the base game along with Going East DLC. There have been 2 more map DLCs as well as many other accessoriy/trailer/etc DLCs since that time.

They release a 'Gold' edition for the Christmas market every year.
