When looking from the rear window in day cabs, I cant see the chassis. Is there a fix for this issue?

Using mods?

nope, just day cab trucks

You cannot see it because rear window is high enough to hide it from your view. Try changing seat position all way back and up, maybe you could see it this way.

I've tried that. Its apparently its a problem with the game itself; it doesnt render/show the rear end from day cab interior view. I've tried everything; removed all mods, reinstalling twice and moving the seat to the highest position, nothing works.

If you could try a day cab on your end, you'll see.

Frankly, it's a non-issue IMO. The less that has to be rendered in-cab, the better the performance.

It breaks immersion, its illogical to not see your chassis when you look behind you...and in 2017, thats a ridiculous excuse - "performance". SCS has been making theses games for years now. All the old ones have visible chassis.

So I am supposed to exit cabin view and back up to attach a trailer? They might as had the whole interior cab invisible. It is idiotic man.

WTF You wanted an answer didn't you? Not everyone has the best hardware, and SCS does not like alienating those who run ATS on older systems.

And what sorry excuse for a truck driver uses a back window to back up?

I didn't even know you could look out the back window on any truck! If turn my view all the way around the most it does is stick my head out the side window and look back.

Use your side mirrors.

I see that you're contented with the quality and thanks for missing my point. Sheesh no wonder this product is the way it is and is slowly dying....if it weren't for the modders.

Don't let that stop ya. Go ahead and let loose.

The truth is while it is distracting that the frame doesn't show in the daycab window, it's a rare thing to even think of using that window for anything IRL. And I would rather people on older systems be able to have a good game play experience in ATS than my being able to see a greasy fifth wheel out the back window of a daycab.

I drive day cabs almost exclusively since the day I started driving in this game and it never bothered me that I cannot see chassis in rear view window because I usually use side mirrors or look back though driver's side window.

IRL that back glass on a daycab leads to sunburn the back of your neck and that's about it.
