Hood mirrors
I am finding them more useful than ever before. When coming onto on ramp into the highway, the traffic especially the AI trucks do not move over to let you in, but I do know this happens in RL. Oh another use for them, vehicle on your blind side. You can see the vehicles on your blind spots. I have had so many fines without having them because I was driving the Argorsy. The main mirrors do not help because cars would be on your blind side and you would not know they are there until you need to move over. I have stop and look back to see on coming traffic. I then creep slowly until one slows down to let you in. Anyone have done this?

For me, the hood mirrors show just the road lines and what's directly beside my front right steer tire. Otherwise, pretty useless for me. Depends on the truck though. 389 here.

The hood mirrors are almost a 'must have' because, as you said, vehicles get into your blind spots and if you can't see them, POW! Crash fine... :steamsad:
Plus, I find them useful for parking loads in a more realistic fashion, meaning using the mirrors to park and not 'cheating' by changing the camera view, though sometimes there's just no way around it, so I do use the term 'cheating' very loosely here... :steamhappy: lol

IRL a truck without hood mirrors is uncomfortable, for me. Driving isn't so bad because you can move your head IRL, but hood mirrors can make a world of difference in tight places.

In game, I love the right hood mirror. A lot.

Years ago they didn't have such a thing. Everybody used their side mirrors with the little round spot mirror...

That would be almost correct. They've not been commonplace in US for too very long, but they've been around a loooong time. My great uncle's Mack, that sat in my uncles barn untouched for years after he died... last driven in 1961 and she had spot mirrors on her fenders.

They're adjustable, just like all of the other mirrors.

I know they're adjustable. And the only thing I found them useful for was seeing if I was centered in the lane and how close I am to whatever might be next to my steer tire. My main mirrors and primary curved mirrors see everything else I need to see.
