Events?
When are we going to see an event for ATS? Or ETS2?
Maybe I should make this question a bit clearer. What I'm asking about is events like what we saw for ETS2 last month...for the France Event. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Im thinking any week now. New Mexico is in "closed beta" which i think means that its in beta testing but just within the company developers. "open beta" means its open for us all to test, and typically a week after its open beta, its released. Its been in closed beta for a couple weeks now, so I am thinking its any day now. The last update on it was on the 30th so lets wait and see

That's great. But that's not what I'm talking about. Thank you anyway.

There will be no open beta for New Mexico so when it is completed closed beta and all the bugs have been fixed it will be released. When that will happen it is anyone's guess but between now and the New Year but my guess around Thanksgiving.

They had an event for ETS2 a short time ago but normally they will do an event around Christmas. They could do one to celebrate the release of New Mexico but no one really knows because nothing has been mentioned by SCS.

What was the "event"? What exactly happened that made it an event?

Trade Connections - France: World of Trucks Event Update

Speaking of community engagement... We are about half-way through another event on our World of Trucks community portal!

We have to admit that the Trade Connections - France event was set up to be quite difficult - asking the players to drive a lot of distance to complete it. With the requirement to drive to/from different countries, we are talking thousands of kilometers to drive to link up the loading docks. We are very pleased with the level of community engagement; a lot of you decided to participate. As of now, over 15,000 of you have completed the event, earned the achievement, and also received a few cabin "toys" as a reward.

This event is promoting our Vive la France ! map expansion, but actually it doesn't depend on it, you don't have to own it to participate. As the base game already contains several French cities, you can happily use them as the places to deliver to/from.

To elaborate on the event numbers, over 60,000 World of Trucks users have so far finished at least one transportation job that is eligible for the event, so we hope that eventually there will be way more successful completions. On the other hand, and this was quite surprising for us, there are over 50,000 World of Truck users who were playing the game in recent weeks without ever bothering to visit France, missing a chance to have their deliveries count towards the event tally.

We are thinking that we may not be doing enough to promote the fact that the event is even happening, so here we are with the few paragraphs at the end of today's blog post. ;). Have fun!

This was from the SCS blog. The event has now finished.

Right, forgot that NM is going to be paid lol.
the france dlc promotion event was a test for the new item injection system... since that was somewhat successful, i guess we can only wait and see what they do with it...

Guess my request for an event for the game was in the works.....Good luck to all!

yup

I have a feeling there could be a monthly or bi-monthly event in future. IF they want to keep supporting the trading items idea, it would have to be a regular thing IMO. I wouldn't be surprised if the next one was NM based, then Italy based, and a future Oversized cargo (ETS2) one as well.

I guess this is the obvious post you are refering to. I'll try not to miss such blatant obviousness in the future as saying goodluck to an event you made no mention of. :steamfacepalm:
Yes the Double trailer event is out until December 3rd and I already finished it already. I could see the next World of trucks event being New Mexico related just like Mohegen said.
