I've only reversed the in-game doubles once and it took me over an hour to get them into the spot. I've reversed the heavy cargo with a stinger at the end multiple times though. That one ain't too bad thanks to the front dolly.

the second trailer got a dolly.
A Long time ago i found this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9cH_8nkhM0&t=321s
so in reality its possible but if i try to copy the driving technique from the video into ATS its not working the dolly is always too fast steering in and too sensetive i tried it a lot of times very slowly.
Then there is the time scale in game. Fiddling around with backing one up could easily take a while and then hours would pass by in game.
The game sort of messes up the whole doubles/triples thing anyway as most (if not all) states have laws regarding how far from a major highway or Interstate that multiple trailers can be driven due to the issues about backing them up. The trucking companies that use them will usually have a yard just off the highway and will break down the doubles and have other drivers run deliveries into the city with individual pup trailers. In this game, you can pretty much take a set of doubles anywhere in the game, which is technically not correct. So in the real world, there isn't much need to back a set of doubles, though some drivers have gotten good at it and like to show off a bit. When I was in training for my CDL, it was a game for us students to try and see how far we could back up before the dolly jacked. We tried all sorts of things, backing downhill, playing with the trailer brakes, etc and none of us could ever back up the complete truck and trailer length, though one of the instructors could.
No. You have too small place to manuever in the yards, also the joinings seems to be oversensitive. It stands for the heavy trailers too, as far as I observed.
If it is possible somehow, the small amount of XP you earn for it, doesnt worth the frustration anyway.
