FWIW. For me starting my Reverb G2 in ATS.
Opt into Beta "Oculus - oculus+openvr+openxr - 1.52"
Launch option "-openxr"
Once game starts... F11 to toggle VR
If that does not help you maybe this video will? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_T1iDNJznjg
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It seems like that the new Halloween Event isn´t available on the VR-Branch.
Cruising Arkansas is there, and when i opt out of VR, Halloween is there too.
But when i reload the VR-Beta, it´s gone again and only the Arkansas one is left.
So no event for VR-Players, or do we need a specific branch update?
I got the update. I was cruising Arkansas earlier in the day, started messing with VR, got it all connected and went back into the game and it was all Halloween updated. Not sure what would cause it to disappear for you.
Madkine helped me with that, letting me know that the VR-Update for Events mostly come a couple hours after the main update, since VR is maintained by only one person, over at scs. I got it too, later that day.
I was just too impatient, as per usual^^
Same for me on Quest 2.
But on my side, it works way better with AirLink then it does with a wired connection.
5 Meter off-Brand Link Cable, and it stutters and tears all the time, unless i set my entire game to mid or low setting.
Even though the cable gives me a constant 2.5 to 2.8 Gb/s.
AirLink gives me better performance overall, but it kinda "crackles" every now and then, tho i blame that on the fact, that my pc runs wireless to my router.
A long LAN-Cable is on the way, and i´ll tell how that works, once it arrived and has been tested.
Running a 12Gb 3060LHR, 16gb DDR4 @3200 and an i5 12400. So i really don´t know if my hardware is to blame for the performance.
You will also gain a performance boost if you use the -openxr in the launch options and bypass steam altogether if you haven't done so already.
