Yep city areas suck the FPS. I run a 3080 with a 10900K with everything on highest settings except for a slight reduction in mirror draw distance and I take the hit with the reverb and play with the headset frequency set to 60hz. You notice the flicker for a while, but it goes away. Although this setting could still cause headaches for some.
used to get 90fps in both games but with each update it gets slower and slower.
Hate to burst your bubble, but the 5900 is not the fastest CPU you can get.
Actually. For ETS 2/ATS, Intel CPU's are the fastest as they can run higher clock speeds then their AMD counterparts. But if you have AMD platform then the CPU with the best overclock is your best bet and the extra cache will help a lot as well.
Since ATS and ETS 2 have a single render thread, High clock speed is the most important, followed by cache speed. Number of threads is irrelevant until SCS upgrades the engine to take advantage of multithreading.
