Ran out of fuel..any options?
Just started with ATS and found out it is possible to run out of fuel. So far I have had no luck finding a way to "pay for delivered fuel". or whatever.

Am I SOL on this or is there a wizard out there that can help me?

Thank you.

Press F6 or F7 and then you can press enter for help, it will set you back a bit but you will have fuel.

F7 will take you to the nearest repair station and will give you a little bit of fuel to make it to a fuel station.

In case you want 'exotic' solution, abandon load, go to dealer online and trade-in your empty truck for new one, comes with full tank.

Even more uncinventional option: Sell the goods to a passerby, then torch the truck.

(nah, just hit F7 and get a tow)

You can drop the trailer at any time and use the extended range to find fuel.

I refill before every trip, or if I pass a truck super friendly gas station on the freeway and I am not in a rush I fill up too. Dont think I ever ran out of fuel lol. For sure I have made it to the red zone though. One time, I forgot to fill up before my trip, and I was driving down one of those long lonely desert highways in Nevada, and I am hauling a big load of Diesel. I notice on my dashboard the needle on the fuel gauge was inching very close to the red mark, and sure enough about 3 minutes later the red light went on. Luckily there was a gas station a few miles away, but it was a real pain because it was one of those tiny ones. Another time I was driving somewhere new, and I saw this little gas station on the side of the road with old gas pumps. Pic here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1186408000

By tiny, sounds like it was difficult to navigate with a trailer. You know you can pull over and disconnect your trailer and just pull in with your truck. Once fuelled up, reconnect your trailer.

Lol, or call up the Fast and Furious gang to trade some gas for the contents of your trailer 😎

Steps to get more gas:
1: turn on truck
2: start moving truck
3: get truck to gas station
4: put gas in truck until tank is full
5: leave has station
6: accelerate truck
7: keep acxelerating
8: hit top speed
9: pause game
10: go to gamepgameplay options
11: ensure "Truck speed limiter" is off
12: acellerate to new top speed (If applicable)
13: don't slow down, no matter what
14: has thing beeps, saying "low fuel"
15: ignore
16: truck turns off because "out of fuel"
17: keep flooring it anyway
18: use that speed and momentum to coast for the next dozen or so miles into a gas station
18: repeat steps 4-18

Problem solved!

This ^^

There is a warning when you get low on fuel so there really is no reason to completely run out of fuel. When the warning happens check for the closest petrol station. Ignore the warning and run out of fuel. Simple choice. Not passing judgement just pointing out that there is a warning given when you get low on fuel.

If I remember correctly there are 2 warnings, one when you get low on fuel and another one before you run out completely. Fairly sure my memory is correct on this.
