Heavy vs Normal Cargo Question
In the Truck Analysis screen, the game catagorizes all cargo into two types: Heavy and Normal. My question is where the dividing line is: At what weight does the game consider a haul to be "Heavy"? Thanks.

I believe it's anything over 80,000 pounds.

Not in game.. some "normal" cargo puts combo weight over 80,000

I personally haven't seen a 'normal' vanilla cargo go over 80,000. Plus it might also be a category in the cargo files that define it as 'heavy'. I would have to take a peek again at the internal files to know for sure.

i dont think its a weight catagory, its in the program, i've seen normal loads heavyer than some heavy cargo loads

Without mods I guess the net weight limit for standard cargo is 25 tons. Heavy haul in the game starts with 27 tons. Additionally you see a symbol for heavy haul in the freight market screen (as far as I know). I haven't found a triple trailer yet, so I don't know if they exceed the 25t limit (the RM doubles I hauled had less than 25t). In ETS2 there were some doubles, which opened the truck analysis screen for exceeding the 25t limit.

You see a symbol in the Freight Market screen? Huh... I never noticed, but I'll look for one next time, thanks.

I have not made too many heavy hauls, but I guess it starts as of 25 tons.

Basically if the truck and trailer weigh 80,000lbs or less then it is a normal load. When the total weight is above 80,000lbs you are now hauling heavy cargo.
One question.is this a patch or a upadate?

Heavy cargo dlc.

The actual heavy cargo loads are what the DLC adds, but the displays in the job lists denoting heavy loads, the oversize banner and flags and the Truck Analysis screen were all added as updates to the game. If you run mods with heavy loads, they will have the appropriate icon in the list and you can use the banner/flags regardless.

Any way to tell which jobs are part of the heavy cargo DLC as opposed to standard or special transport jobs? The ST jobs I know have the red/white slanted line (like a barber shop pole) left of the job details but they often have the heavy cargo icon as well, so what really denotes a heavy cargo contract?

The icon denotes the cargo is heavy, not what DLC it comes from.

The intent behind your question here is important.
Do you want to know for an achievement? Or another reason.
For achievements, the store page for each DLC lists the cargo included.

In the job list, loads more than a certain weight (in ETS2 25+ tons) are marked with a weight icon.

Which ines of them dccppome from a certain DLC, don't know.
