Drop Axles?

Where do i go to get a drop axle for my truck after purchasing the heavy cargo pack?

Afaik Heavy Cargo does not add new chassis options to ATS (does add some engines though). ETS2 gets the 8x4.

There is a 6X2 Midlift option for the chassis (unlocks at level 12 I think) chassis, however the 6X4 chassis is much better suited for heavy hauling.

ATS currently has only 6x2 configuration with drop axle which is not wise choice for heavy cargo.

Sad to see this, "___ gets the 8x4". Hopefully SCS will have 8x6 chassis options for ATS when this beta completes.

Try mods, I started with a base ATS 6x4, modded up to a drop axle 8x6, still had wheel spin on steep dirt hills so I upgraded again to a drop axle 8x8.

@ Lassie, I have a W900 8x4 mod by XXXX. I have manually updated it to keep it functioning .pmd and def changes as SCS made changes to def's thru a few versions.

My point is 8x4 chassis's added to ____ and not added to ATS in the heavy cargo DLC is very dissapointing.
As I said hopefully SCS can add it in with the new version.
I would suggest a W900 wide hood with 8x4 and 8x6 options (tridem drive or FA drive midlift tandem rear drives or FA drive tridem rear drives a few combinations) to start ,
Maybee even a C500 with.


Remember brake first, then lift the axles, then downshift 1 gear before a corner, corner, drop em down after the corner. If steerable leave them downall the time until destination.
When at destination time to park/manuever lift them all, before detach trailer drop them.
