Autopilot
Is there a mod that will steer my truck for me? Because I have to pause the game if I get up to get food or somthing, it would be better if there was a button to make the truck steer and continue at the cruise control, but not turn onto other roads, slow down or avoid hitting things, so that we could make some progress while we are getting drinks?

Press F1 or ESC. Your truck won't go anywhere.

The only things you have to do in this game are the ones you mentioned, you want something that play the game for you.
I suggest watching gameplay on YouTube instead of playing it on your pc, it will also save you the fatigue to install it.
Not trying to be rude, you are just asking to remove the gameplay.

Quite possibly the worst idea thusfar on here... and that in itself is worthy of its own steam achievment.

Well no I'm not, you must be completely blind if you missed all the bits about your truck getting fines or crashing into vechiles or intersections if you dont play.

If you don't want it to avoid traffic, why do you want it to steer at all? You can just get up while the cruise control is activated and the truck will keep going until it hits something. :steamfacepalm:

I am now beginning to see why motorcoaches have the warnings that cruise control is not autopilot and not to leave the drivers seat whilst the vehicle is in motion.

You're only out of the hot seat for a couple of minutes... the point of playing really is to do a little steering on your own. lol

are you serious ? Good luck on getting SCS to put in a feature that only one person wants.

There is an autopilot for Elite, the Euro Truck SIm for space. I find the Elite autopilot is the perfect utility for when you want to get a sandwich while playing and then have your valuable ship and cargo smashed to pieces against the side of the station when you get back.

Put another way, Han Solo never got up to get a sandwich when he was flying the Millenium Falcon.

Wasn't there a guy who bought a motorhome and while driving it, noticed the Cruise Control, set it and then got up out of the chair to make coffee?
the vehicle ran off the road - because nobody was steering it - and collided with a tree or some such?
The story goes that he sued the makers of the motorhome under the explicit reason that nowhere in the owner's manual did it state that the driver must remain behind the wheel even when Cruise Control is active.
And won.

You're much better off playing FSX, you won't hit anything except for birds or an occasional rogue 747- but when you return you'll have an essay of warnings from ATC.
