Cant pull out on a hill loaded with 70 tons
For some reason whenever I have to stop on a hill I can never pull out, I always pull a 70 ton(150,000lbs) mac coal bucket, I drive Kewnworth w900 a 15 speed wrap around eaton fuller transmission and a 550hp cat 3406e. I switched to the 6x4 chassis and i still cant pull out. This is so frustrating...

like wheels spinning or engine dieing? i wouldnt expect the engine to stay running (or atleast the clutch to stay usable) trying to start that much uphill with only one truck
Wheels dont spin and engine dieing, I put her in grand daddy low (1 in the dr side) hold the trailer brakes and try catching the clutch but it just doesnt move(beside rolling backwards). The trailer brakes barely hold the truck where its heavy. I would try to roll back down the shoulder on less of an incline but someone is always behind me honking their horn

There's a transmission mod that lets you change your axle ratios. A higher axle ratio will give you more torque at the expense of top speed.

1st question.....are you using pedals on the floor?
Rookie-31st Jan 18, 2017 @ 6:45pm
150,000lbs is almost twice over legal weight limit in the United States, and not available in vanilla ATS
Yes, I'm using pedals. 150,000 was common back in the early 90's-2000's, Coal trucks in eastern kentucky were sometimes hauling 200,000lbs of coal then they reduced the weight limit. I think with 3 axles you can haul around 120,000. Hauling 70 tons is fun though :P
Where can i find that mod at? Whats the name of it? thanks

Try Real Eaton Fuller transmissions by loadersaints. Also, I don't think that I've pulled that heavy but when I'm stuck on a steep ramp, I use my right foot on both brake and gas to get moving.

Reg,s 80g,s, 12+34+34=80, over 80, req. permit from highway/intersate authority when hauling more then 80G,s or oversize load or some exotic load such as...
Permit not needed when hauling loads from loading point to drop/unloading points with in mines, pits.
200,G to haul probably need specialty truck with 800 hp...,if You like going round and round...
welcome to the mary go around...

I already have the real eaton transmissions mod, I only like driving with the 15 speed but with that mod the 15 spd don't work like they would in real life, I had to make my own custom 15 spd. I've also used heel and toe method and tried holding the trailer brake at the same time.

with a load like that your transmission should probably have crawler gears.
That's why I like a 15 spd 5 deep reduction gears for heavy loads when pulling out. It's basically a 10 speed with 5 deep r gears

That's a pretty heavy trailer, and seeing that you've already tried the heel and toe method I don't know what else to suggest. One thing you could try is anticipate the traffic and slow down to crawl in LL/1 and maintain 2-5 Km/h up the hill to avoid stopping on the incline.

Also on this note, I'm guessing that the weigh stations don't care that you're that heavy either?

Why don't you try it in auto to eliminate possibilities?
