USDOT #'s Lacking on ATS

Simulator's should simulate real world scenarios. Every truck in ATS should have DOT numbers and yet the only one's that do are special paint skins. I wish ATS had the option to add DOT numbers to any paint job from the dealership menu.

Adding this would be one of those little details making this game even better...
They could do something similar to the license plate generator.

Yep, been wishing for something like that for a long time too. Still no luck, not even a mod for it. Honestly, I avoid and have never enjoyed using any of the normal paint job options because I can't stand the unrealistic look of the trucks without USDOT and IFTA stickers.

Yeah, it's been requested even back in 2016 and I guess we understand already that SCS is not planning to do this

Do you know the VIN number of each truck?, cause that's how it works. USDOT and IFTA stickers are based on those numbers. You could add those with a skin if you're spending that much time outside looking for that, kind of nick picking if you ask me. there are modded trucks that have that option, but their not based own anything, Like are you really that desperate to see something that doesn't matter in a game.

Could also add it to trailers such as what is usually seen on the back of box trailers

the real world if anyone had scs software account and ask all about the idea back
in 2016 like the logbook for an example is part of this idea as well get scs to start think we
not stand for not adding we are players that needs the real world dot in the game
its just not right at all we demand and declare to get this dot and logbook in the this game

Considering we still don't have ingame generated USDOT-Numbers (going further east you will also need a KYU number if you want to pass Kentucky state) I'd say the thread is still valid 6 years later, right?

No, no they are not .. you know not of what you speak. USDOT numbers are assigned to a COMPANY, not a specific Truck .. ALL the trucks I've owned under my Company Name have all used the SAME USDOT and MCC numbers, as well as State issued PUC numbers.
...This is likely why SCS does not have USDOT numbers, because then they would have to associate those numbers with the "companies" icon, and people would complain there where only a few numbers/companies to pick from ...

You want USDOT and MCC numbers, create a custom Truck Skin mod .. done. Same number and paint on all the truck models, just apply them to the correct templates.

Find DOT plates on Google, save them to picture's on PC.
Copy and paste onto template, I had to learn how but worth it.

Most trucks I've seen just have the DOT number stickered or painted on the truck somewhere, sometimes below the logo of the company or on the cabin towards the sideskirt or something. I put mine below the logo in a more simple paint job I did. It works for my uses anyway.
