The Weigh Station" thing is just another stupid gimmick that only lets you pass half the time. SCS wont fix the major isues but they sure like adding garbage.
And the added device on the windshield wasn't to allow for skipping the weigh stations; that function was already in the game. It was mearly to add a visual and audible cue for those who don't run with the Trip Advisor window showing on their screen.
And where did the yawning go? Was kinda amusing, and not as irritating as the beeping
And there, ladies and gentlemen, is the reason absolutely NOTHING will get done with this issue. Management doesn't think it's a problem, so it must not be a problem. Problem solved... bury your head in the sand, and everything goes away. Simple as that.
Beg pardon? I'm not affiliated with SCS in any way other than as a volunteer Moderator of this forum. Why should that invalidate my opinion of this new game feature?
Like Banteel, that sound had me jumping out of my seat as well (I use headphones). In fact, the only reason I am not still jumping each time I hear that noise is because I now know where the weigh stations are located.
As for the noise itself, it's unrealistic and obtrusive, not to mention counter-productive - because each time I hear that noise, I swear to myself that I will never again stop at a weigh station.
Keep them Dunlops rolling!!
Harley, I used to get the running late tune quite often myself, but took some steps to help myself out. First, as soon as I hooked up to the load, I took note of the delivery date & time. Then I would adjust the route to my liking. Once I adjusted the route, the delivery date & time would change in the GPS module, but the ORIGINAL date & time was still the REQUIRED date & time. So, keeping that in mind, I would start off on my trip. Once on the road, I would watch the ETA date & time as it decreased, needing it to drop below the ORIGINAL date & time. The displayed delivery date & time will come down by just doing the posted speed limit, but if you need to expedite that decrease, try bumping your speed up a few MPH/KPH (as long as you have the police option disabled). Hope that helps!
