help with un-synchro double clutch
It just never wants to go into gear. Any type of RPM and its grind away. I`m always fishing around for the gear. This is kinda what I do:

RPM to 1500
clutch in +pull out gear
clutch out + add gas to keep rpm at lower shift speed (1200 or so)
slot in gear lever
grind. grind grind grind. grind some more.


With the synco version I could float gears, but I felt like shifting was too easy, there wasnt much of a chance to grind whereas this is just grinding now. For referece, I had the config.cfg edited so that the synchronized gearbox value is now 0 instead of 1.

SCS is not very realistic you would normally get the engine speed up to 1500 rpm (1) Clutch In and pullout of gear, (2) Clutch out then Clutch in, (3) Pull into the next gear before the engine speed drops to much. You never should have to rev the engine when upshifting.

The problem I find with not revving between shifts is that the RPM just plummets. :S I was lead to believe that this isnt normal on large diesel engines because they retain so much of their momentum.

Should I just leave the box snychronized and double clutch anyway?

It is missing second clutch-in. It is called 'double clutch' for this reason.

I suggest going to YouTube. There is a video demonstration of every imaginable trans and engine.

I would say don't bother much if you cannot do this yet. Nonsync transmission is still hidden option for a reason. SCS is still developing and tunning it, so it might not operate the way it should

iF i am Reading this right the biggest issue is when you up shift you dont rev the engine or you wont get it in gear Only rev during a down shift

The RPMs drop too quickly on an upshift to ignore blipping the throttle

I don't know if it will help in the game or not but irl I learned how to double clutch to the adams family theme song where they snap their fingers maybe this rythm would work in the game.
