If you check on Amazon or Ebay for a wheel from a reliable supplier you will find wheels for all different prices. If you find one to your liking then ask here if it works well for ATS and ETS2, that is my advice.
It is better to save for a good wheel than buy a bad wheel because it is cheap.
I recommend Thrustmaster.
Even looking on Ebay or Amazon, the prices are high.
Some good advice, although I'm not familiar with Thrustmaster wheels.
I just got one off Ebay too, but it won't register right. Any tips? Is there software for it, or just the auti-plug-n'-go drivers?
Not sure if it makes a difference, but I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit).
I've sent you a friend request, I figured out why mine doesn't work and I'm hoping you might be able to help.
You need to download and install the software for your wheel from Thrustmaster. Check the link and if it is the wheel you have then download the user manual and read that first and then download and install the driver for your wheel.

I think the download you need is.
drivers- ffb wheels 3.02
The other is for Windows Vista.
I hope this helps. If you have further problems then post a thread in the forum asking for help.
Edit: Added driver details.
