What happens if you don't stop in at the weigh station when you're supposed to?
asking for a friend...

Well, if you drive by it with traffic offenses turned off, absolutely nothing. Curious about if you don't, tho

You get a fine. Don't know how much as I've not skipped one. :)

Okey. Not really sure what I was expecting anyways. Thanks.

You get a 700 $ ticket for skipping it and if there's a cop near you, 1400 $ down the toilet drain. :smokeybear:

What happens when you do that to the toll for the bridge? Theres a lane for cash tolls ($25) and one for easy pass, whats the price difference?

No price difference. EZ pass lane doesn't make you stop, that's all.

In real world, before EZ pass, knew of a truck driver out of Memphis who had to carry about $200 cash for tolls to go to Long Island NY. With EZ pass you have to have money in the account and heard in Calfornia the toll is a little cheapter if you have a account. Seen in Chicago in the morning rush, long lines of mostly 18s in the cash lanes back up for at least a mile, but the EZ pass lanes were wide open. EZ pass and pre pass for the coops is two of the best things they came out with for drivers.

I used to run out on Long Island from VA about 15 years ago & it took $100 per trip. And that was being careful how you went in & out - some of the bridges only charge one way. You go in on the bottom on I-287 & come out through the Bronx on I-95

Hey Hyltontrucking. Any chance you drove for Overnite being from VA. I use to run out of Fontana Ca to the Windy and then to Harrisburg Pa and we needed the Oklahoma turnpike, Tri-state toll road and the Ohio turnpike and the Greenstamp(Pa turnpike) EZ-pass. Dont know what it cost the company for a Harrisburg turn.

Always wanted to know as I play by the rules. Nice to know it's a nice fine. I guess there should be another penalty that if you skip enough you'll gain lesser paying jobs.

Ignore what I said here.... It's a February thought that it no longer holds weight.

That wouldn't be realistic. How would the shipper know what tickets you've gotten in the past without checking.

Ignore what I said back then as it's a February mentality posting. I don't even know how to reply to it, or to you in a November mentality. I'm busy loving the Volvo VNL instead that you can ignore what I said in the past.

I'll go ahead and strike it out.

amusingly, you can be stupidly overweight with some loads (anything above 45000 pounds is pretty much guaranteed to push you over the 80000 pounds gross weight limit of most states for 2 axles) and no one cares :)
