When you use the command goto, use the mouse and arrow key on your number pad to move your truck closer to the ground, when you are happy with the positioning just hit f9 and you will settle gently on the ground. If you are not happy with the position press 0 (zero) and use the arrow and mouse to relocate and again hit f9 when you are happy.
If you want to keep using the same truck you have almost 2 options. The first not so good option is you can (I believe) select the type of truck you prefer when looking for a delivery. It'll be a different colour and/or have different options though. The second option is to save up and purchase your own truck; instead of quick jobs you do jobs in the freight market with your own truck, in which you can still select short jobs. As Willy mentioned you can order the delivers by route length so the shorter ones are at the top.
I already tried the slider but most of time, the ending time is way too short... Or the city where i am doesn't have any short distance jobs.
The option of selected truck type is (i guess) more a suggestion, short distance jobs seems to be done with random trucks...
-thanks for your help
The expiration time given in the Job List is not when the delivery is due to be delivered, rather, it is the time remaining before that job expires from the list. When you take a job you will always be given enough time to make it to the destination along with additional sleeping time on longer runs that will require it.
And if you're using the dev cam to fly to your destinations instead of driving there you will never have a case of not making it in time...
