It could be a mod conflict. Try a new profile, take out a loan to buy the truck or use one of Doc Mencers mods in the workshop to give you the money to buy the truck and see how that goes. Like I said, I had no problem, I have 2 sorts of horns on the roof.

Definately a mod conflict somewhere. Did as you said (but after I posted, and before I came back here) and the FLB was the only mod enabled in a new profile, and I was able to add horns without a problem, so now I just need to figure out which of the 13 other trucks I have that it conflicts with.

Well, if you are willing to pay for mods then I recommend this site. They have the K108 and K200 available and a great selection of other trucks and a great heavy trailer mod. If you play ETS2 they also have the Renault T available, the other trucks work in both games.

Yea, I am familiar with RTA and that whole debacle. I had the leaked K200 before I realized that it was a paid mod, and unfortuately my system cannot handle the polys that they seem to employ on their models.

They are improving with every update. That is what impressed me so much with the Freightliner FLB mod, the poly's do not seem to an issue. I have many mod trucks and I think it is one of the best. That is why I recommended it.

Play ETS2 if you want COE's. You won't ever see them from SCS in ATS.

We have Cab overs in Australia, mainly to do with the Road Train allowed lengths. Obviously the Cab overs serve two main functions

It allows for a few extra meters of Trailer length , every meter counts around here
The cab allows to more room on turning especially on long road trains

A little bit oftopic, this is exactly why trucks in Europe are generally cabovers. The maximum length is set for the whole vehicle/combination and apart from the in recent years allowed small double trailers with a maximum length of 25mtrs, the maximum length of a truck and trailer combination is 18mtrs and that of semi 16,5mtrs

I believe (but please correct me if I'm wrong here, since I'm not an expert on American traffic law) that in America the maximum length might be set for just the trailer and not for the whole vehicle, resulting in the usage of extremely long semitrucks with a huge comfortcab and an equally huge (nearly impossible) turning circle ...
