I believe there are some mod trucks that fit this bill, but right now there are no default cabover trucks in ATS.
SCS is currently in negotiations with the U.S. trucking companies over licensing to use their trucks and logos ingame, but so far there's been no ETA on when we could actually see them in the game.

Will we see them ever classic and new? Holy look at this sexy rig.

That's up to the truck manufacturers. But cabovers are not used in the US anymore. There may still be a few rolling around here and there, but since laws changed.. I haven't seen any cabover trucks since the mid 90's.

So, you can use mods, or simply deal with it because I highly doubt the manufacturers are going to want old trucks in a game when they would rather show off their more later generations.

They dont work online lmao, Will we even get International, Freightliner, Volvo, Mack and WesternStar? So many other trucks that are not even supported yet.

I wonder why the Cabover design has faded out in the US?

Trucks like the KW900 are retro's basically. They've looked the same since the 1950's.
Better and bigger engines, upgrades etc but still the basic design.

It's simple basically...

Cabovers offer less engine space for the huge engines americans use, offer less space to work on harder to reach engines (The cab has to be tilted to be able to reach it) wich increases maintentance costs and cabovers offer less safety for the driver, since he hasn't got this big space in front of him... Also, Nose-models tend to offer more 'living space' for the driver/owner

Then why do we Europeans use them so much in stead of the nose-models, well, because we have to...

First of all, a big difference is, as far as I know, size limitations in US (and I believe Australia too) are based on the size of the cargo area, whereas in Europe, size limitations apply to the whole truck, front to back.. Every inch you use for the tractor, can't be used for cargo.. So Tractors are made as short as possible.. Second difference is that Europeans need less space for their engines because of different philosofie... Americans believe in 'There is no substitute for cubic inches', whereas European car'/truck manufacturers have always been using alternative ways to increase engine power, so European engines are smaller then the US ones.. Third big difference is, that in Europe, most drivers aren't the owners of the truck they drive, so their influence over the model is limited. Big trucking companies will order a bunch of new trucks to replace their old ones, and basically the driver, if he's very lucky, might have some influence on how the truck is equiped, but hardly ever on what type of truck gets bought.. In US I believe most drivers own their own truck and therefor often pick one that offers space and comfort, but may be a little less practical..

Because we use smaller cars and trucks in Europe, are road system is not very suitable for the huge american trucks, so they driving one down here is a real challenge...

Still would like, To see more trucks. :steamhappy:
TwinShadow Feb 9, 2017 @ 5:05am
Yes, Freightliner does make an Argosy, but only as a glider kit. It is still not a fully assembled truck. Due to that, it is still highly likely it'll never get an official license.

As for other brands, that is up to the manufacturers. License negotiations do not happen overnight.

garbage trucks and fire trucks are still coe's

Ok, let's look in engine size, torque and horse power in truck engines.

USA got https://demanddetroit.com/engines/dd16/ The torque in the 605 hp engine is 2779 nm.
15.6 litre engine size. What a monster but ... :steamhappy:

Europe got the legendary Scania V8 "King of the Road".
https://www.scania.com/group/en/new-scania-r-730-v8-completes-the-euro-6-range/
the torque in the 730 hp V8 engine is 3500 nm/2581 lb-ft.
16.4 litre engine size. Yeah, we don't have small engines in our trucks. :steammocking:
We got the sound to match!

Here's one in the USA:

The K100 is available as a mod, as are other COE's. There won't be an official COE from SCS, ever.

You obviously have no clue how game development works. They can't just say hey, lets put this truck and this truck in our game becuase we can model it. They have to ask permission to put those trucks into the game from the people that make the trucks. Otherwise they get sued and lose their business.
Really don't get what you don't understand.

Your dumb, They can just go get a license. From Freightliner and put that truck in. Same as all other trucks I do know how it works but like others have said we are not likely to see one so yea.
