Just make sure to max out the heavy haul bar in the repair shop.

I also run the Viper2 389 in a 8x4; 3.78 or 3.96 13 or 18 speeds (you really don't need to split the bottom) with retarder are a good combo depending on power you choose. You give up some manuverability with the 8x4 but it is managable ad hard to beat the look. I tried the 8x4 long and it just doesn't work for turning the heavies. I ran the 2 stroke 6V92 chipped for a few and it was fun, lots of shifting, but fun. The 605 HP N14 is a nice setup with the 3.78. I am trying to find something that feels more "real" instead of just tons of power, ran a few with the 840 Cat and it was just too easy. I am going to try the 600 ISX with the wider torque band as well.

I recently just got a mod that ups the weight on every load from the dlc by 90 tons so the heaviest load is 250,000 pounds and my setup worls great still but on on-ramps i need to keep speed or wont make im gonna try upping my hp but i think its just the game physics because i just spin my wheels but it makes for more of a challenge and really tests your setup and shifting skills

1. 6x4 drivetrain
2. high torque engine
3. good transmission to allow for lots of gear choices.
