how to disable the map popup?

I am tired of disabling the GPS map at startup with F3 key. is there a way to keep it from coming back like the virtual mirrors?

Options-GamePlay tick Keep Route Advisor hidden.
But you will need to keep an eye on the weigstations..

it still pops but not the arrival confirmation options screen.. need it to be other way around :)

Hm, the advisor never shows for me, unless I open it with F3, just as I want it. I have preset parkings to random.

The route advisor can be useful at times so I have assigend different buttons for the different features and use those whenever I want information and then just dismiss that with the button I have assigned which is the equivalent of the f3 key.

I am using a similar route advisor mod like Zerolist has suggested, it is Hemil's by courtesy of SiSL. I have assigned different keys for the different functions of the route advisor but basically using the f3 key dismisses the route advisor altogether, it will sometimes pop up if I am taking a job or near a weigh station or filling up with fuel but soon disapears when those actions are completed.

If you are really commited to get rid of the map altogether, there is an option in Gameplay. Show Navigation provides a drop down menu with options, just select never.

the never option removes all the directions and I want them to be only on the dashboard GPS screen and no popup everytime I start a new job..

Then use the f3, as far as i know that is the only option. I drive using only the gps and I do not have any problem whatsoever.

that's what I do; it's just annoying to tap F3 x2 every time I start a new job. I wish there was a toggle or it remembered my last preferences just like the virtual mirriors which I removed with F2 right away and they never came back...
same goes for the dashboard info one which resets to default everytime :(

Ok, I hope you find a solution. I do not know of one. Perhaps the more experienced players can suggest a solution by changing game files.

yeah I hope there's a way. very distracting....

edit: it stopped doing it and saved after I purchased my first truck :P
