Left and Right "Quick Look" keys
I play this game with a steering wheel setup and it is nice that I can freely look around with the dpad on my wheel, however this is almost useless when trying to make turns at intersections as I have to clumsily rotate my view back to the center. It would be nice if there was an option to press left or right on the dpad and the view quickly snaps 90 degrees while the key is held down, and returns to its previous position when released (simuilating a quick look to the left or right when driving).

Set inside view left and right to the dpad. And inside look forward, forgot the word used in options ;) to the dpad as well.

You can bind the Camera 1 view to a button on your wheel. I use my mouse to look around while driving with my wheel and have the left-click bound to Camera 1 view (not many buttons on my wheel). That way, you can swing the camera all around and have a 1-button snap-to-forward fix.

In the thread: http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=88092 they tell you how to edit your controls.sii file to do exactly what your asking for. I did it a few months back and cant live without it now.

Suggestion..... Get a Tracker IR. IR 4, if you can find one for sale, with 5's software will do the trick. Just a little turn of your head lets you look around.. We use it in flight sims all the time.

Natural Point's website.... https://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/

I don't recommend the Tracker Clip. The Hat clip comes with the IR5 and works far better, and has no moving pasts or electronics in it that can break or quit working.

The media is sure trying to destroy VR for some reason. Ive seen numerous articles about disappointing sales. Personally this was one time I had to wait for v2. The screendoor effect was too much for me and the developers were not moving very fast. $500 is too much also.

I set up my controller so that clicking the RS button centres the camers (select interior cam). I flick the stick left and right to look, then click the stick to return. I stole thiss idea from a spaceship game called Elite: Dangerous.

I rarely play single player but they have an option where the view rotates with the wheel turning. Also another option. When the turn signals are on it will turn the view the direction of the signal and auto centers when it turns off.

I get bad motion sicknees with trackir. Ive been doing what @vonswe suggested but it would be nice to have a toggle for auto center view. The 'turn view with steering' option just doesnt help much seeing as there is no way to watch for oncoming traffic from the opposite direction you are turning.

I think the key thing the OP is requesting is the view RETURNING to center, AFTER you let go of the view left/right button. And quite frankly I'd love that too, so i didn't have to use one of the buttons on my wheel for "center view". I can think of many other uses for that button.

Because of this issue i just use my mouse, which i dislike.

get a better HMD like Pimax 4k with hardly any of that plus higher resolution as a bonus and at a much lower price.

I use Voice Attack very successfully with ATS. Before I started using my TrackIR exclusively I used VA to change interior views. I would simply say "right, left, ahead" and my view changed.

After using VA for so long I find myself saying things to my Fusion as I drive to work, it doesnt listen ;)
