There is no such thing as a safe site. Learn to wade through the troubles of the internet.

That is all.
ats .lt is a good site to

ATS.lt
is the best in my opinion
It's safe, loads of content (more than others), and a great layout...

Go there, or go to the SCS forums...

Subscribing in steam workshop is probably the safest, but the very nature of computer viruses is such that ther is no perfectly safe place to download anything. Of course the steam workshop has its issues as well, what with people pulling mods without notice, leaving peoples game profiles unusable... or so i hear.
Safe places Steam Workshop, SCS Forms they have good links, Truckymods everyone uses it and their links are legit, or you can go to Facebook and talk to the author directly. Places to avoid ATS Mods most of their mods are outdated some are fake with most stolen. Never get your mods off Gethub or Modland you can get a virus only Jazzycat is good. Anything uploaded to Gethub or Modland has been stolen and some have been washed in the Dark Web avoid these sites like the plaque.

In general, everything thats outside Steam workshop, Truckymods and direct links from the SCS forum, is uploaded to websites without the authors consent or knowledge. AFAIK there are a few exceptions but most authors don't go there.

Except for the Steam workshop, the SCS forum and author's personal website (I personally don't even trust trucky) all those 3rd party websites host stolen/used without permission mods.

Except for the Steam workshop, use at least an add blocker, and check the links (bottom left corner in my browser) before you click on something.

i heard the steam store is a pretty decent website to find stuff, or maybe the steam workshop if you're into the more custom built things.
