What about mods? Is that going to be a thing in this game at some point or..?

Probably. The game would need a mod loader, but one can be written. The code for the game isn't obfuscated, at least, for the most part, so things like new vehicle types, new parts, and maybe some other improvements can be added.

Noticed by whom? Devs? They'd build a mod framework from start if they were counting onit. People who can work on developing a 3rd party mod support? They don't really need a thread to tell them that people are interested. OP had a question about it being possible. He got his answer. That was pretty much the point of the thread, as far as I can tell. It served its purpose, and never really bellonged as a suggestion, anyhow.
