Thoughts on the state of the game
These are my thoughts on the state of the game so far.

The game is very fun as a casual quick game. I dig the movement of the deer, and farting around to dodge the Hunter.

I like the variety in maps. The maps seem to be balanced the same in terms of amount of bear traps/land mines, and the Sanity of the Hunter. The large map should have a larger Sanity bar for the Hunter, as the distances to track down the Wendigo Deer is to great, and it is too easy to hide on the large map. The Hunter won't be able to get to the place where a Wendigo Deer ate a mushroom until it is long gone due to the large distances.

My main overall gripe is the movement of the Deer. There is no stamina bar, so you are able to run, dodge and weave as much as you want. Due to the long reload time for the Hunter. this means the game turns more into a game of Counterstrike than a hide and seek game. If all the Wendigo Deer simply forego eating their mushrooms, and all run around for the full game, I still wouldn't be able to hit them with my bow before the time runs out - they run too fast, and can gain much distance with the fart.

I enjoy the aspect of the bear traps/land mines. To balance the difficulty of hitting the Deer with the Hunters bow, I would like the Hunter to have some extra abilities besides the wildlife camera. Maybe the ability to create pit traps, put out bear traps, put out fake mushrooms that poison the Wendigo Deer. Maybe a call that can stun the Deer for a short period.

The game would be even more fun if it was more about hide and seek. The Wendigo Deer could have more objectives that force them to reveal themselves. Eating mushrooms, pooping to alleviate gas, burping, performing rituals at the stone circles on the map.

It would be nice to increase the number of players for one game, though the player base would need to increase for this as well. Maybe 8-12 players.
